Head Of State Buhari 1983-1985 & President Buhari 2015-2023: A Big Loser On Both Counts!
POLITICS DIGEST- A test of history is that it should not repeat itself. But if often does within a generation or relatively short span.
In the case of Nigeria, where 2 men Obasanjo and Buhari have had the unique opportunities to serve as military Heads of State and democratically s/elected presidents, closer analyses will show outcomes not very pleasing for second chances.
On the basis of that, I decided to pick on now President Buhari – objectively.
1983-1985, Head of State Buhari in consonant theater performance with his 2nd in Command, introduced WAI – War-Against-Indiscipline; rightly so because Nigerians by their very nature are agitated with siege mentality always displaying undiscipline. Just watch group of Nigerians in any gathering and see whether you wouldn’t conclude as I have.
For awhile then, it looked like the war was getting won but the battle was still Raging. In other words, it failed.

Fast forward to 2015-2022, Buhari got s/elected as civilian president and he promised to bring order to indiscipline which is more about insurgency – domestic terrorism.
Nigerians falsely believed as a retired General he can bring order. 7yrs hence, Buhari has shown he neither has the discipline nor leadership capacity to quelch the biggest public safety concerns in the world’s most populous black nation – insurgency. Another WAI – War-Against-Insurgency.
When lives and properties are in state of sieged the people are biseged, and who gets the blame the Headman.
The Head cannot claim to be right when the body is rotten.
On that note, I leave you to imagine the rest, that’s if you’re objective and look at politics and policies as tools for common good for Greater Good.
Anything less is emotions driven by tribal sentiments.
Don’t forget, Nigerians come loaded with emotions and tribal sentiments. They are excused as they grapple life in “Land of Your Excellencies where nothing is hardly Excellent”.
Ghosts are not ruining Nigeria but Nigerians regardless of their status.
