HoSF Inaugurates Yemi-Esan Sports Complex, FISH Estate, Meets Workers
POLITICS DIGEST – The outgoing Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, on Thursday laid the foundation for 216 units of housing project in Abuja.
The project comprising two and three bedroom flats, when completed will be allocated to civil servants in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the FISH Housing Estate was performed at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria, PSIN, in Dutse, Abuja.
Dr. Yemi-Esan also at the event, commissioned a newly-built Sports Complex named after her by the PSIN management.
The HoSF, who will be retiring on August 13, 2024, described the flagging off the FISH Housing Estate in PSIN, as a great milestone.
She disclosed that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is passionate about providing quality and affordable housing for civil servants across the nation.

She urged the contractor to ensure the project is speedily completed and according to its design specification.
Commenting on the sports complex named after her, Yemi-Esan advised civil servants to regularly engage in physical exercises and sport games to boost their wellbeing and mental health.
Earlier in the day, Dr. Yemi-Esan participated in a town-hall meeting with various workers’ unions in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of Federation, OHCSF.
Permanent Secretaries, Presidents and representatives of the unions, together with some workers eulogized the transformative leadership of the outgoing HoSF, describing her almost five year tenure as eventful.
They commended Dr. Yemi-Esan for truly prioritizing civil servants’ welfare as HoSF, saying she contributed significantly to the growth and transformation of the Nigerian civil service.
Responding, Yemi-Esan thanked the workers for honouring her with awards and generous praises, saying that everything she achieved as HoSF was made possible with the support of the civil servants.
