A 13-year-old Borno State student, Mohammed Kaumi, has fabricated a ‘flood detector’, to help combat the devastating impacts of seasonal flooding in the country.
Kaumi’s innovation will help to offer early warning signs on flood to avert disasters and save countless lives.
Kaumi’s ingenious device is powered by a water sensor integrated with an Arduino board, connection cables, and a buzzer. With floods wreaking havoc across the country and causing unfortunate casualties, this visionary creation promises to be a game-changer.
“I invented this technology to save lives by detecting early signs of floods on the ground,” Kaumi shared with Politics Digest.
