How I Secured Daura University, Two Other CSR Projects From CCECC –Amaechi
POLITICS DIGEST – The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has disclosed that he was able to conceive and facilitate three different projects courtesy of the China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC).
He said the projects are part of the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSRs) of the construction company in Nigeria.
Amaechi, who disclosed this on Monday via his Twitter handle @ChibuikeAmaechi, said he was able to conceive and insisted that the Chinese company embarked on the projects before he signed contracts with them.

“Training of our people to localise rail technology and maintenance of our rail infrastructure; to that effect, 60 of our children are now in their 2nd year in China studying Railway Technology. Another 90 are going to join them this week.
“The Wagon Assembly Plant in Kajola, Ogun State, which will enable us to produce Railway rolling stocks locally and even export to other African countries; and The University of Transportation where Railway Engineering and general transportation sciences will be taught.”
He explained further that these projects are funded by the construction company with a view to modernizing railway infrastructure in the country.
“Note that all of these projects are funded by the Chinese company as part of benefits accruing to Nigeria through our partnership with them on the modernisation of Railway infrastructure in the country,” he added.
