IYAI Trains Women on Make Up Artistry in Kano
POLITICS DIGEST– A Non-governmental organization based in Kano, Inspire Arewa Youth Initiative (IAYI) has trained women on make up artistry under its beauty cluster empowerment programme.
The Vice Chairman of the NGO, Khadijah Kabir Ahmad, disclosed this during the graduation ceremony of the beneficiaries in Kano on Tuesday 18-August-2020. She explained that the gesture was borne out IAYI’s desire for the development and women economic inclusion in the society.
Khadijah said the women, who were trained for 3 days at Hamisu Abba Sumaila Plaza, were equipped on the various modern techniques of make up artistry that will assist them to start earning income.
She added that the training was specifically organized to empower women and to have a sound and productive society that will ensure economic viability for all and sundry.

Khadijah noted that government alone could not provide jobs for everybody, hence the need for the NGO’s to step in and reduce youth restiveness and unemployment through skills acquisition programmes.
She challenged the participants to make good use of what they learnt during the 3 days training.
Khadija further charged the participants to extend the same gesture and teach others who could not have the opportunity to attend the 3 days training.
Speaking on behalf of other participants, Maryam Sani, Sumayya Umar Abdullahi, and Maryam Abdulaziz, appreciated the Inspire Arewa Youth Initiative for providing them with the opportunity to acquire the make up artistry skill to stand on their feet.
The trainees pledged that they will be good ambassadors of the NGO and promised to transfer the same gesture to their immediate community whenever they are opportuned.
