….As the Governor Directs Police to Arrest Anyone Found in the Site
POLITICS DIGEST- The political crisis rocking Dawakin Tofa, the hometown of Kano state Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has taken a new dimension with the directive to reject a federal constituency project sited in Government Girls Arabic Secondary School in Dawaki town.
While reacting to this negative development yesterday, the member federal house of representatives Hon. Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe asked the contractors to remain on site and continue with the work of building a six classroom block.
Hon. Jobe challenged the Governor to emulate his type of good gesture in addressing the acute lack of school infrastructure in the area.

In his response, the Kano state commissioner of Education Sunusi Muhammad Kiru, ordered the police to arrest anyone found in the site this afternoon.
The commissioner vows not to allow construction of any physical structures in the school unless a prior to securing written approval from the ministry.
On the other side, the chairman Dawakin Tofa local government council Hon. Ado Tambai Kwa had denied the allegation of stopping the project.
Meanwhile, Dawaki community in Dawakin Tofa local government through various community development associations and the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) had vehemently faulted the decision of the Governor to stop the federal constituency projects in the area.
“We are determined to resist any attempt to stop these types of development projects in our locality, we have so far benefited from lot of them previously” said, Mal Shuaibu Muhammad Rabiu, one of the community leaders
