JUST IN: APC complies with court order, asks INEC to recognise Machina as Yobe North senatorial candidate
POLITICS DIGEST- The All Progressives Congress, APC, has written the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, asking the electoral umpire to recognise Bashir Machina as the APC authentic candidate of Yobe North senatorial election as directed by a Federal High Court in Damaturu.
On September 28, the Federal High Court presided by Justice Fadima Aminu directed INEC to accept and publish Mr Machina’s name as the duly and validly elected Yobe North senatorial candidate for APC, thereby upholding the May 28 primary election of the party that produced him.
