JUST IN: APC Convention: Fayemi Rejects Consensus Arrangement, Says Buhari’s Candidates must Contest
POLITICS DIGEST – Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has denied supporting candidates that President Muhammadu Buhari endorsed ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Convention.
The President had recently agreed with governors to sustain the party’s tradition of consensus arrangement.

President Buhari had reportedly sold the candidature of former governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Adamu, to the governors, urging them to close ranks in the interest of the party.
The President said this in a meeting with the governors on Wednesday.
But speaking at a high-level policy dialogue organised by the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), on Thursday, Fayemi denied supporting candidates endorsed by the president, insisting that there would be an open contest on March 26.
