JUST IN: Atiku Appoints Wike Member of Campaign Council, Tambuwal Emerges DG, Makinde is Vice Chairman
POLITICS DIGEST – Despite the crisis rocking the main opposition party over the refusal of it’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, to resign, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, as a member of it’s Presidential Campaign Council.
While Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state emerged Director- General, his Akwa Ibom state counterpart, Udom Emmanuel, was made Chairman.

Other members of the Wike camp also made the 326-man list.
While Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state was made one of the vice chairmen, his Benue, Enugu and Abia counterparts – Samuel Ortom, Ifeanyi Uguwanyi and Okezie Ikpeazu respectively- were appointed members.
Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who is in a London prison over an organ transplant scandal, also made the list.
According to the list signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Mohammed Bature, all the members are to appear at the International Conference Centre in Abuja on September 28 for the inauguration of the Campaign Council.
