JUST IN: Atiku Submits Self for Screening as PDP Releases Final Presidential Aspirants’ List

A top presidential aspirant, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, today morning, submitted himself for screening by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to the PDP’s guideline of activities ahead of its presidential primaries next month, today was fixed for screening the Party’s presidential candidates.
Politics Digest gathered that Abubakar, a former Nigerian Vice President, stormed the Party’s Headquarters, Friday morning, while a downpour lasted over two hours in many parts of Abuja.
A former President of the Senate, David Mark, our correspondent learnt, chaired the screening session.
Meanwhile, the main opposition has released a list of 17 aspirants to be screened for the forthcoming presidential primaries
The Party, Politics Digest learnt, adjusted its timetable for the 2023 general elections, after due considerations.

The sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms, including the submission of the completed forms ended on Friday April 22 and Monday, April 25, 2022, respectively.
The Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, said Friday, 29, is for the screening of Presidential aspirants, while all appeals on screening would be entertained on Monday, May 2, 2022.
The PDP urged all aspirants, critical stakeholders and party members to be guided accordingly.
