JUST IN: Buhari Signs 2023 Budget, Says Enough Provisions Made for Elections, Transition
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that adequate provisions have been made in the 2023 Budget for the successful conduct of the forthcoming general elections and the transition programme scheduled for May 29.
The President gave this assurance at the State House, Abuja on Tuesday, after signing the 2023 Appropriation Bill passed to him by the National Assembly last week.

He added that his reason for expeditiously signing the Budget was to give the necessary institutions enough time to plan for the elections and the transition into a new administration.
Those who witnessed the signing of the budget include Senate President Ahmad Lawan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The President thanked the Senate President, the Speaker, and all the leaders and members of the National Assembly for the quick consideration and passage of the Appropriation Bill.
