Hours after Declaring to Run for President, EFCC Drags Okorocha to Court over N2.9bn Fraud
POLITICS DIGEST- The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has filed criminal charges against Rochas Okorocha, senator representing Imo west.
While EFCC lawyers were filing the fresh charges, a big political carnival was taking place some few kilometers from the court.

The former governor was addressing a world press conference at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja, where he announced that he would seek to occupy the highest office in the land in 2023.
The 17-count charge was filed on Monday before a federal high court in Abuja.
According to the commission, the former Imo governor allegedly conspired with others, including a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and five companies, to steal N2.9 billion public funds.
Apart from Okorocha, other defendants are Anyim Nyerere Chinenye, Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited, and Legend World Concepts Limited.
