2023 Elections Best Since 1999 – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has described the February 25, 2023 presidential election as the most keenly contested since the beginning of 4th Republic in 1999.
Buhari made this known on Sunday during his administration’s farewell live broadcast monitored by POLITICS DIGEST.

The President was upbeat that the conduct of the electorate during the elections and the eventual outcome are testaments to the country’s growing democracy.
He then eulogised the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as a dogged fighter who fights for what he believes in.
He exuded confidence that the former Lagos state governor would move the country to an enviable height worthy of emulation from other countries.
Buhari also enjoined those who are aggrieved with the outcome of the elections to wait patiently with courts’ verdicts, and avoid actions that would further worsen the country’s security situation.
