JUST IN: Kano Gets New Judges
POLITICS DIGEST– Kano State government has confirmed the appointment of six new High Court judges.
This was contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the High Court Baba Jibo Ibrahim and made available to newsmen.

He said that the judges were confirmed on Tuesday after all the processes for their appointment as High Court judges was satisfied following their recommendation to the National Judicial Council.
Those confirmed were; Abdurahman Maiwada, Maryam Sabo, Zuwaira Yusuf Ali, Jamilu Sulaiman, Sunusi Ma’aji and Hafsat Yayya Sani
The first three were from the judiciary as they were former Magistrates while the last two were from the state ministry of justice, while Jamilu Shehu Sulaiman was serving as chief registrar at the state High Court before his appointment.
