The governor polled 563,617 votes to defeat the duo of Teslim Folarin and Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord Party respectively.
Final Results:
Seyi Makinde (PDP): 563,617
Teslim Folarin (APC): 251,230
Adebayo Adelabu (Accord): 38,757.
