JUST IN: Police rescue abducted University of Abuja Staff
POLITICS DIGEST- The abducted staff of the University of Abuja have regained their freedom.
The police on Friday said it rescued the abducted staff of the university.
Four staff of the university along two of their children were abducted by bandits at the university’s staff quarters on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the abductors demanded N300 million ransom for their release.

Spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, Josephine Adeh, disclosed the release of the victims in a statement on Friday.
“The FCT Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that all abducted victims of the University of Abuja were rescued and reunited with their families through a joint operation with other security agencies. More details coming soon,” she said.
Adeh said Police also arrested perpetrators of the crime.
Spokesperson of the University, Dr Abubakar Kari, also confimed the rescue of the victims, adding that no ransom was paid.
