JUST IN: Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah Escapes Assassination Attempt, Seven Aides Feared Killed
POLITICS DIGEST- Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s convoy was ambushed by unknown gunmen at Nkwo Enugu Ukwu, Enugu State on Sunday.
In the attack which took place around 5pm, some of Ubah’s aides were reported killed, including some police officers.
“Ubah only escaped because his own car was bullet-proof,” an eye witness said.
Police in Anambra State have confirmed the coordinated gun attack.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed that the details of the incident were still sketchy but operatives of the Force are on ground to ensure peace as normalcy returns to the area.
Avaliable evidence indicates that though Senator Ubah managed to escape, with his bullet-proof car riddled with bullets, members of his convoy were not so fortunate.
There were dead bodies of unspecified number of Police personnel and civilians seen inside and behind the hilux van conveying the security escorts in a video obtained after the ambush.
