Justice Odili’s Daughter Among Appointed Judges
POLITICS DIGEST – The daughter of Justice Mary Odili of the Supreme Court, Njideka Iheme-Nwosu and former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu (late), Mimi Anne Katsina Alu-Apena, are among the 22 newly appointed FCT judges.
Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, inaugurated them to the FCT High Court bench, on Tuesday.
The children of senior justices rose from the position of Senior Magistrate I and Chief Magistrate II in the FCT Judiciary.
Others inaugurated include Madugu
Mohammed Alhaji, Agunloye Kayode, Enenche Eleojo, Aminu Mohammed Abdullahi, Nwacheonwu Chinyere Elewe, Ibrahim Mohammed, Sadiya Mu’azu Mayana, Kanyip Rosemary Indinya, Aliyu Yunusa Shafa and Mohammed Zubairu.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, Justice Muhammad charged the new judges to refrain from anything that would smear their name or bring them into disrepute
The CJN cautioned that they have a duty to the country and to God.
“Appointment to the Bench is not an appointment to wealth, vain glory, dishonest disposition or ostentatious lifestyle through corrupt acquaintances,” he said.
“Our radar is sophisticated enough to detect every form of corruption and wrong doings. The remoteness of your location of adjudication can never blur our sight on you.”
