Kano Anti-Graft Agency Nabs Councillor Over Alleged Diversion of COVID-19 Palliative Forms

POLITICS DIGEST – The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has said that it has arrested a councillor over alleged diversion of 116 COVID-19 palliative forms meant for distribution to the vulnerable in his area.
Shehu Aminu, the councillor representing Kabuga Ward in Gwale Local Government was arrested after allegedly diverting the forms meant for his constituents.
According to the commission, part of the exhibit recovered from him include 37 Covid-19 palliative forms and the sum of 74,000 Naira.
