Kano Anti-Graft Agency to Investigate Ganduje’s Aide
POLITICS DIGEST– The Executive Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti corruption Commission, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado said he has received complaints of an alleged deduction of money meant for some religious leaders in the state by the Special Adviser to governor Ganduje on Religious Affairs, Ali Baba Fagge.
The Anti graft Commission boss confirmed the launch of investigation during a radio programme at Freedom Radio in Kano.
The Special Adviser was alleged to have slashed some amounts from the fifty thousand Naira given to each Ulama recently after a special prayer session organized by the Government.
Reacting to the allegation, Ali Baba Fagge said the slash was done to spare more funds that would be given to additional number of ulamas who attended the prayer session.
“We want the money to go round, so that more ulama’s will benefit from the kind gesture, even though the governor was not aware of this Development, I did it to attract more beneficiaries” Ali Baba said.
When contacted the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Dr Mohammad Tahir said as far as he is concerned the Governor has directed that no single Kobo should be deducted from the fifty thousand naira.
“The Governor had directed that any ulama that attended the prayers should be given fifty thousand Naira, no Kobo should be deducted, I’m not aware of the recent development of the said deductions” said Baba Impossible.
