Kano Guber: NNPP Goes Spiritual, Holds Special Prayer Ahead Of S’Court Judgment
POLITICS DIGEST – Ahead of supreme court judgement slated for early next year, the Kano state chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) on Monday held a special prayer.
The prayer session was organised by the state government to ensure peace prevails in the state as well as for the victory of Governor Yusuf, as the Supreme Court reserved judgment in the Kano State Governorship election dispute.
While speaking, former governor of the state, Rabiu Kwankwaso, expressed optimism that the Supreme Court will do justice in the current Kano Governorship Election matter.

He noted that his party, the New Nigeria People’s Party, is confident that the Supreme Court will ensure justice in the case.
While observing the prayers, the clerics prayed for the success of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Supreme Court and for the sustenance of peace and tranquillity in the state.
The prayer session was attended by some cabinet members of the incumbent administration, other political appointees and supporters of the Kwankwasiyya movement.
Recall that POLITICS DIGEST reported that the Supreme Court led by a five-member panel of justices presided by Justice Inyang Okoro on Thursday reserved the judgment after listening to lawyers in the matter.
The majority of members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State had equally observed a special fasting and called for intense prayers shortly after the Supreme Court hearing.
