Kano LG Polls: Agent Caught Thumbprinting for APC Candidate
POLITICS DIGEST– An APC agent in the ongoing Local Government election in Kano State was caught early today asking a voter to thumbprint a ballot paper for his party’ candidate.
This was at the Mashaya Polling unit, in Hotoro South.
The irregularity is against the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission Law.
POLITICS DIGEST reports that there is poor turn out of voters in the election across the 44 local governments of the state.
This will not be unconnected with the way local government elections are conducted, where the governing party in any state, wins all the Chairmanship and Councillorship seats.
