In his judgement via Zoom, Justice Liman disagreed with Sani Bello and upheld that there was a waiver by the National leadership of PDP.
The presiding Judge, also said the National leaders of PDP gave waiver to every candidate who intended to register with the party and allowed them to contest accordingly.
He maintained that the particular waiver covered Abacha to contest in any position under the party’s umbrella.
He also said the court agreed with the respondent’s submission that he was screened by National leaders of PDP.
The court accordingly dismissed the case of Sani Bello and affirmed that Abacha is a legal member of the PDP.
