Kano South: APC’s Plot to Rig Won’t Threaten my Election – Kawu Sumaila, NNPP Candidate
The Senatorial Candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Sulaiman Kawu Sumaila, has called on his supporters not to be scared of the threat by the All Progressives Congress, APC, to rig the 2023 senatorial election in the zone.
He made the call during a press briefing in Kano, pointing out that he has taken necessary measures to avoid the rigging and stealing of Kano South peoples’ mandate in the forthcoming poll.

Sumaila, a former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari and also an ex-Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, urged his supporters and the people of Kano South to stand up and protect their votes during the election.
“We have started enlightening our people, and also my supporters on the plot by the APC to influence the outcome of the general elections in Kano State,” he said.
The NNPP senatorial flagbearer tasked religious leaders in the State, to continue praying for peaceful 2023 polls that will produce competent leaders that will accelerate development across all parts of Kano.
Kawu Sumaila will battle Sen. Kabiru Gaya, his main challenger and candidate of the APC, for the seat of Kano South in the 10th Senate.
