POLITICS DIGEST – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2019 governorship candidate in Kano state, Abba Kabir Yusuf has expressed his shock over the Supreme Court’s judgment that affirms the election of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as Kano state Governor.
He said the apex court’s verdict has further confirmed the connivance of what he called the allied forces of election robbery oppressing the Nigerian democracy.
Abba, who made the remark in a statement via his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said he was shocked with the judgment despite the evidence tendered in the case.

He said, “Considering the overwhelming evidences presented by the eminent team of experienced lawyers, one cannot imagine how these agents of tyranny and undemocratic principles joined hands to rob the good people of Kano their mandate.
“However, we have seen the worst of what they can do, so they should await the judgment of the Almighty Allah, which they cannot avoid”, Yusuf added.
The apex court earlier on Monday dismissed the appeal of the PDP candidate challenging the victory of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in the March 9, 2019 governorship election in the state.
Similarly the PDP chairman in Kano state, Rabi’u Suleiman Bichi said that the party has accepted the judgment in good faith as its verdict is final. He prayed that the decision will good for them.
