Kanwan Katsina Inaugurates ‘Security Committee’ for Ketare District
The Katsina State Government has been commended for establishing the Community Watch Corps, while also introducing other various measures to curtail armed banditry in the state.
Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, gave the commendation in a statement by his media aide, Jamilu Hashimu Gora, while inaugurating the Village Head Community Security Committee in Ketare.

Alh. Kankara noted that the inauguration of the Ketare District Security Committee followed the state government’s directive for all Katsina District Heads to do so at their domain.
The Kanwan Katsina, who also is the Chairman of the Ketare District Community Security Committee, urged the village heads in his district to work assiduously to comply with the state government directives.
The Ketare District Community Security Committee consists of the nine village heads of Ketare, Hurya, Kuka Sheka, Yar’tasmiyar Jino, Katoge, Gundawa, Tudu, Gurbi and Pawwa.
Alh. Kankara pledged the continued support of Katsina traditional rulers to all policies and programmes of the state government, asking for the return of peace in Ketare District, Kankara Local Government, Katsina State and the country at large.
