Katsina District Head Begs Govt to Fix Gora-Ketare-Kankara Road
POLITICS DIGEST- Communities in Ketare District of Kankara Local Government Area have called on the Katsina State Government to rehabilitate the dilapidated Gora-Ketare-Kankara road.
They made their appeal in a letter addressed to the Managing Director of Katsina State Road Maintenance Agency, KASAROMA, Engr. Sirajo Yazid Abukur, which was made available to newsmen in Katsina.
Presenting the letter on behalf of the communities, Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, explained that some portions of the road were washed away by downpour, while the bridges are under serious threat of possible collapse.

Alh. Bello Kankara said the road that links some very important communities in Malumfashi and Kankara local government needs urgent attention.
The traditional ruler explained that commuters from Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara state ply the road en route to Kano on a daily basis.
He urged the agency to take urgent action before the condition of the road deteriorates, so as to save the lives and properties of commuters.
Receiving the letter, Engr. Abukur expressed gratitude to Kanwan Katsina for presenting the complaint of his community.
He said their agency is aware of the condition of the road since last year which has worsened now due to the heavy downpour experienced, and assured the Kanwan Katsina that efforts will be made to address the issue.
The Kanwan Katsina also presented some photographs of the damaged portion of the road to the Managing Director.
