Katsina Students Honour Ketare District Head for Supporting Association
The National Association of Katsina State Students, Kaduna Polytechnic Chapter, has presented an ‘Award of Excellence’ to Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara.
The award, PRNigeria learnt, is in recognition of Alh. Bello Kankara’s contribution towards the development of the Katsina students’ association.
National President of NAKSS, Comrade Ahmad Saulawa, during the award presentation at the palace of the Kanwan Katsina, said their award to Alh. Kankara is for his service to humanity, particularly Katsina students.
Saulawa, a final-year student at the Kaduna Polytechnic, informed their awardee that the award they confered on him is on merit, considering his support to the development of their students’ body.

In his remarks, Alh. Bello Kankara, urged the students to shun drug abuse, cultism and associating with bad friends, in order to achieve their academic dreams.
He further advised them to take their education seriously, describing education as the bedrock of the society.
The Kanwan Katsina, while receiving the award, recalled with nostalgia his student-union activities in his university days, when he served as the Secretary General of the Kaduna State Students Union of the Ahmadu Bello University in 1980, urging his guests to ensure unity among Katsina students.
The traditional leader, explained that the award will motivate him to work harder for the growth of his communities in Ketare District, assuring the students of his continued support at all times.
During the event, Saulawa presented some copies of their Association magazine to the Alh. Bello Kankara.
