KEDCO greets Muslims on Islamic new year
POLITICS DIGEST – The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has felicitated with Muslims faithful across its states on the new Islamic calendar, 1442 AH.
According to KEDCO, the new calendar presents opportunity for Muslims to have a new beginning and discharge their religious duties that will usher in good fortunes across the world.
In a statement by the company’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Sani Shawai on Thursday, the company wished its customers a prosperous new year.

“In this regard, we urge faithful to continue to pray for the good of the country especially in the face of this global challenge of COVID-19 pandemic and the need to prevent further spread of the disease,” KEDCO said.
In his message, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, said, “The new moon has always been a signal of Allah’s Mercies and divine care for mankind and this year’s own is no exception.
“As we perform our religious duties, may we have better fruits of Allah’s goodness compared to the previous year.
“As we celebrate the day, I advise that we embrace caution and continue to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols and remain safe into the New Year,” Gwamna added.
