COVID-19: KEDCO Restates Commitment to Regular Power Supply in Kano, Jigawa, Katsina
POLITICS DIGEST – The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has assured its customers in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states of regular electricity supply despite the glaring challenge posed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
KEDCO in a statement by its head of Corporate Communications, Ibrahim Sani Shawai said proactive modalities have been put in place to ensure that customers enjoy regular supply.
The statement added that staff, especially engineers and other field staff have been heavily mobilized in that regard.
KEDCO said: “The customers have every right to be happy despite the challenge posed by the spread of the virus. We are using this medium to guarantee that we will look after their happiness and satisfaction as usual especially in the face of this world pandemic.
“Power is key to the sustenance of living and that is why it has been classed under the essential services; we will do our best to give meaning to every service we are going to be rendering at a time like this.
“The management added that KEDCO has switched on several online platforms to ensure that customers were well served and not denied any service in view of the COVID-19.
“We want to also tell our numerous customers that they can lodge their complaints online for prompt response as the customer care unit have been rejigged for better service delivery and swift response to complaints whether technical faults or any other issues.

“The management further called on the customers to ensure regular payment of bills through the online payment platforms like www.kedco.ng or www.kedco.ng/payments to ensure that KEDCO continue to render unhindered services to its numerous customers.
“Also, we ask our customers to continue to recharge their units for their meters through our payment platforms like the one above to continue to enjoy our services, while those who want to get the meters could do so through our platform”, the statement added.
On the issue, the KEDCO Managing Director, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna stressed the need for customers to partner with them in order to ensure that the company achieved its vision of rendering regular supply to all its customers in all its franchise state through regular payment of bills and prompt reporting of any technical fault in their communities.
