Kogi 2023: Buhari Endorses Ododo
POLITICS DIGEST – President Muhammadu Buhari has received the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Kogi state 2023 gubernatorial election, Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Ododo who was led by Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, was warmly received by the President at the State House, Abuja on Friday.

While raising his hands in a show of endorsement, President Buhari congratulated Ododo and wished him success at the general election which comes up in November.
The Kogi State APC Primary Election Committee had on April 14 announced Ododo as the winner of the Primary Election, having polled 78,704 votes to defeat other contestants in the race.
Buhari’s endorsement is coming at a time Ododo’s closest challenger, Muritala Ajaka, is challenging his emergence at the direct primary election conducted on April 13.
Ajaka who is the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party has been claiming victory, saying he won the valid votes cast by members on that day.
