Kogi 2023: SDP Secretary Defects to APC, Meets Gov Bello

Ahead of the November 11 governorship election in Kogi state, the Secretary of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Honourable Muktar Atima has resigned his position to join force with the All Progressive Congress (APC).
While receiving him in his Luggard House on Thursday, Governor Yahaya Bello
commended Hon Atima for his foresight and objectivity.
The governor noted that after witnessing the remarkable achievements of the state under his leadership, that he (Atima) is left without choice but to join the APC.

The governor assured him that his administration, which is founded on principles of equity, justice, and fairness, will continue to provide opportunities to all Kogites who wish to join the government through the APC.
Earlier on, Hon Atima had extended his congratulatory messages to the governor for his party’s triumphant success in the recent elections.
He also praised Governor Bello for his remarkable ability to unite party members and achieve significant electoral victories.
Atima stated that his decision to align with the APC at this time was motivated by the visible developmental projects accomplished by the current administration.
He also pledged to contribute his quota to the development of the State.
Previously serving as the Secretary of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon Atima had been the pioneer secretary of the Social Democratic Party in Kogi State until his recent departure from the party.
