Kwankwasiyya Twitter Guild Suspends Activities Over Dadiyata
The umbrella body of Kwankwasiyya Supporters on Twitter has suspended all its activities over the movement’s lack of concern for the fate of its active member Abubakar Idris.
Idris popularly known as Dadiyata was abducted in August 2019 and since then his whereabouts have remained unknown.
Abdullahi Ibrahim, the Secretary of the Movement said in a statement on Tuesday: “The Kwankwasiyya movement leadership’s lackadaisical approach to the fate of our brother, Abubakar Idris Dadiyata, who was abducted about 3 years ago for reasons best likened to his relentless support for the movement has cast serious doubt on not only ours, but the worthiness of all social media influencers to the Kwankwasiyya leadership.
It is therefore on this note, that the Kwankwasiyya Twitter Guild, in the course of its meeting held on Saturday, 9TH April 2022, has unanimously decided, to suspend all of its political activities and mobilisation inputs in favor of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and all it’s candidates. Our next line of action after this suspension shall be dictated by the response or otherwise of the leadership of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.”

The decisions made by the movement’s hierarchy, we believe should have entailed a more widespread consultation across board, considering the magnitude of effects they have on each and every follower of the esteemed movement.
