Kwankwasiyya Twitter Guild Calls for Dadiyata’s Release
POLITICS DIGEST– A social network political organization Kwankwasiyya Twitter Guild has called on security agencies to release Abubakar Idris popularly known as Dadiyata.
They made the call in a statement signed by the Guild Chairman Abdullahi Ibrahim and sent to POLITICS DIGEST on Sunday.
Dadiyata, a University Lecturer at Federal University Dutsinma in Katsina State was abducted by unknown armed men on 2nd August 2019 at his residence in Barnawa Quarters, Kaduna. Today, marks exactly two years of his abduction.
The guild called for the unconditional release and freedom of the social activist to reunite with his family and students.

“Today marks 2 years since the abduction of the famous government’s critic, Abubakar Idris Dadiyata from his residence in Barnawa Quarters, Kaduna State, on 2nd August, 2019 by some masked men. His abduction was believed to be politically motivated because of his fierce criticisms of Buhari’s administration and the Kaduna State government under Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
A sufficient number of calls and protests were made, online and offline, to get him release, but all were in vain, as he marks yet another year in abduction, without freedom.
Abubakar Idris Dadiyata, a father of two daughters, is a university lecturer, and a member of Kwankwasiyya Political Movement; a group that stresses the importance of pro-masses policies as main way to tackle Nigeria’s major problems of poverty, unemployment and insecurity under the leadership of Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Mr. Dadiyata is among the pioneer members of the Kwankwasiyya Twitter Guild; the group that dominates the call and campaign for his release to regain freedom.
Today prayer session marks two years since his abduction and unnecessary detention. The guild wants to use this opportunity to pray and call for his safe and unconditional release”.
