Kwara APC Members Join PDP
POLITICS DIGEST– Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State have defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Those who defected were from Kwara North Senatorial District, stronghold of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
They were officially welcomed in a brief ceremony held at the PDP secretariat in Ilorin.

Due to social distancing protocol of COVID-19, only representatives of the decampees picked from across the five local government areas of Kwara North Senatorial District were at the PDP secretariat.
The leader of the group, Manzuma Kawu Dogo claimed that “We are over 10,000 in number across the 58 wards in the district “.
Welcoming the decampees, the PDP state chairman, Engr Kola Shittu, described the development as unprecedented, assuring the new members that they would enjoy same rights the existing party members enjoy.
