Kyari Takes Over as Acting Chair as APC Confirms Adamu, Omisore’s Resignation

The All Progressives Congress, APC, National Vice Chairman North, Sen. Abubakar Kyari, has announced himself as the Acting Chairman of the ruling party, after confirming the resignations of the National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu and the National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.
Kyari made the disclosure on Monday, at the end of the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting held at the party’s secretariat, in Abuja.

He said, “NWC wishes to inform you of the resignations of the National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.
“With this development and according to the constitution of the party, I have assume the office of the acting National Chairman of APC”
“Subsequent, the Deputy National Secretary, Festus Fuanter, assume office of the acting National Secretary.
The acting National Chairman further disclosed that, the proposed National Caucus meeting and the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting slated for this week has been postponed till further notice.
He said that a new date will be communicated soon.
