In Letter to YOSPIS ED, Other Stakeholders, Kano NNPP Gubernatorial Candidate Vows Multi-Sectoral Reforms
POLITICS DIGEST- The Gubernatorial Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has vowed to implement policies that will stir massive reforms in education, healthcare, agriculture and commerce among other sectors if elected Governor of Kano state in the forthcoming elections.
Engr. Yusuf stated this in a letter he personally signed and addressed to the Executive Director of the Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Social Vices (YOSPIS), Miss Zainab Nasir Ahmed, and other relevant stakeholders and highly respected figures in the state.
In the letter, the gubernatorial candidate reiterates that if elected, “we will strive to bring back Kano its lost glory through our initiatives and policies, especially in the areas of commerce, education, healthcare, agriculture, urban and rural development, societal and infrastructural development among others.”

He also promised to ensure effective consultation with relevant stakeholders in the execution of various economic policies for the betterment of the state.
While commending the NNPP gubernatorial candidate for giving young people and other relevant figures in the state a sense of inclusion in his political journey, Bello Shehu, a political affairs analyst based in Kano observed that beyond the promises, it is imperative that Engr Yusuf should endeavour to outline to the voting population how he intends to achieve these laudable proposed reforms.
“This is very necessary considering the dwindling resources in terms of allocation from the Federal Government to the state, considering the huge debts incoming government at the center will have to contend with, we want to see that such promises are matched with action with viable blueprints,” he argued.
On her part the YOSPIS ED, Miss Ahmed, thanked Engr Yusuf for taking such a bold step.
“First and foremost, I thank him for the notification, and I also call on all the Kano 2023 gubernatorial candidates to follow suit and notify youth leaders. It does not have to be me, but doing such will signal a new dawn that our politicians are ready to embrace young people and address the myriads of problem of young people in Kano state,” she enthused.
