The former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Wednesday, has described himself as a man of courage, saying that no one has contributed to the growth of democracy in Nigeria more than him.
He made the statement in an interaction with speakers, deputy speakers, ex-speakers and ex-deputy speakers of state Houses of Assembly themed: ‘The Legislature, Changing Times and Nigeria’s Democratic Journey.”

He said that he was optimistic that he would replicate his outstanding achievements as Lagos state governor if elected Nigerian President.
“Everyone has seen how I transformed Lagos single handedly. Making Nigeria great would not be difficult for me because I believe in my capacity.
“As I need Nigeria, Nigeria needs me. I have been a good example of grit, daring, and resourceful and I have never lost a single election. In the face of tyranny, I have survived the struggle for democracy; the twists and turns of it, including living in exile,” he said.
He called on the legislators to support his bid for the presidency in the 2023 general elections.
