Moro Forum Calls for Action over Marginalisation of Kwara North
Ahead of the upcoming Kwara North Youth Summit, the Moro Democratic Elites Forum has raised concerns about the long-standing marginalization of Moro Zone C within the Kwara North Senatorial Zone.
In a statement jointly signed by Shakira Shuaib Gold and Abdulrasaq Ajibols Okemi, the Secretary and Spokesperson of the forum highlighted a historical pattern of underrepresentation in political offices, which they believe requires urgent attention.

According to data provided by the forum, the marginalization is evident in the distribution of political offices since 1999. The Kwara North Senatorial Seat has been occupied by representatives from Patigi (4 years), Baruten (8 years), Edu (8 years), and Kaiama (8 years), totaling 28 years, with no representation from Moro Zone C.
Similarly, the Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency has been represented by Edu (8 years) and Patigi (12 years), with no representation from Moro Zone C. The Baruten and Kaiama Federal Constituency has also been dominated by Baruten and Kaiama, with no representation from Moro Zone C.
The Moro Democratic Elites Forum is calling on fellow Kwara North youths to address this issue and work towards a more inclusive and representative political landscape. The forum is led by Chairman Hon. Mustapha Kabir Omo Nma Malete.
