Mozum Youths Hail Ododo’s Supreme Court Victory, Urge Opposition to Sheathe Sword
The Mozum Concerned Youth Advocacy Group has felicitated with Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his victory in the Supreme Court after the appeal challenging his triumph in the November 11, 2023 election by the Social Democratic Party, SDP, was dismissed.
The group called on opposition parties to bury the hatchet and work together with the governor to move the state forward.

“The Mozum Concerned Youths Advocacy congratulates you on your victory at the apex court. We are not surprised by the verdict of the Supreme Court, considering the fact that majority of the people of Kogi State overwhelmingly voted for you in the November 11, 2023 governorship election.
“We therefore enjoin the opposition groups in the state, particularly the candidate of Social Democratic Party, Alhaji Yakubu Murtala Ajaka, to put the election behind him and support the administration’s determined efforts to pull the state out of doldrums.
“Now that the legal fireworks are over, we believe the governor will fully concentrate now to deliver dividends of democracy to our people,” the statement read in part.
Recall that on Friday, the apex court dismissed the appeal of the SDP candidate in the Kogi State governorship election.
