Muslim-Muslim Ticket: We must Prioritise Nation Building Over Religion, Ethnicity – Bakare

Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Global Community Church has urged Nigerians to give preference to nation-building over religion and ethnicity.
He made the statement during a sermon on Sunday.

While commenting on the choice of the APC presidential flagbearer Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate, the pastor condemned religious and ethnic sentiments.
He said: “Nigeria needs leaders who will work for the betterment of the country; a Nigeria where each of us can occupy political offices without playing religious or regional cards.
“Nigerians should embrace nationhood rather than divisiveness; that should be the objective of every engagement.
Pastor Bakare was one of the presidential aspirants who lost to Tinubu in the primaries held last month.
