2023: Muslim-Muslim Ticket Undesirable – Babangida Aliyu

Former Niger State Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has urged the electorate to reject same faith ticket in the forthcoming general elections, saying it would encourage divide and rule.
Aliyu who stated this while receiving the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku/Okowa presidential group at his residence in Minna.
Aliyu said “Nigeria consists of two major religious faith, Christianity and Islam, and same faith ticket will only throw the country into more chaos considering the circumstances, we found ourselves in the past seven years”

The former Niger state governor said, “as a Muslim, I would not have thought of voting for anything like Christian/Christian ticket and I wondered why the ruling party would ever conceive what they would not take if presented to any of them individually or collectively”.
“And, anybody who is supporting same faith ticket, be it Muslim or Christian, does not mean well for Nigeria because doing so only amounts to promoting injustice, lack of fairness and equity for adherents of other religions”.
Hassan Bagudu is the leader of the group, thanked Aliyu for his active support of the Atiku/Okowa campaign organisation not only in Niger state but across the country.
