N-YIF: Think Tank Group Commend Federal Government, Want Transparency In Disbursement Process
POLITICS DIGEST– The Principal Head of Moshood X Igbasan & Co Policy Think –Tank Group (MIPAG), Moshood Olajide has advised the federal government on the need to tow the path of transparency in the disbursement process of the #75 Billion Youth Investment Fund under the Ministry of Youths and Sport.
Speaking in an Interview with Politics Digest in Kano, the Principal Head of the Policy Advisory Group commended government on the initiative stressing that it will reduce unemployment and promote small and medium scale enterprises.

Moshood however warned that such good initiatives can be watered down if the process of disbursement to beneficiaries is not transparent. The group further advised that the guarantor eligibility should be waived off as it will disqualify a lot of Nigerian youths.
The provision of National Identity card and BVN is enough to track defaulters, the Managing Partner of the Ibadan based Group maintained.
It will be recalled that the Federal Executive Council had on Wednesday July 22, 2020 approved the establishment of the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund, N-YIF.
The Youth Fund according to Hon. Sunday Dare, the Minister of Youth & Sport is dedicated to investing in the innovative ideas, skills, talents and enterprise of the Nigerian Youth and aimed at turning them into Entrepreneurs, Wealth Creators and Employers of labour contributing to national development.
