Naira Redesigned: APC Backs Governors, Urges Buhari to Respect Rule of Law

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has again urged president Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the Cash crunch policy that is making life difficult to people.
The party chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, while addressing the press after about 2hrs closed door meeting with the APC governors, said that, the party will uphold the Supreme court judgement which retain the legal tender of old notes.
Adamu said, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the attorney general of the federation (AGF) should respect the rule of law by upholding the Supreme court judgement on the cash swap.

He said “We urged the Attorney General of the Federation and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN to respect the supreme Court order of interim injunction which is still subsisting. That the meeting is urging his excellency, Mr. President to intervene in resolving the issues that are causing this great difficulties to the people and to the economy.”
Meanwhile, during the hours of the closed door meeting, APC, Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, stormed the party secretariat.
Details of his coming to Buhari house was kept secret as he refused to address the press.
The meeting had in attendance, Kaduna state governor, Nasiru El-Rufai; Mohammed Bello of Niger, Abdulahi Sule of Nasarawa, Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state, Bello Matawalle of Zamfara , Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa , Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, Simone Lalong of Plateau, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state, Babajide Sanwolu of Lagos state, and the deputy governors of Imo state, Placid Njoku, and Mohammed Manir Yakubu of Katsina state.
