NCPF Bemoans Spate of Insecurity in North-Central States
POLITICS DIGEST- The North Central Peoples’ Forum (NCPF) says the establishment of State Security Agencies and State Police is not only necessary, but imperative.
The forum disclosed this while condemning the spate of attacks, killings and kidnappings going on within the North Central States, and in the country, at large.
At a press conference in Abuja, on Wednesday, Rt. Hon. Audu Sule, the publicity Secretary of the group, called on all indigenes of the North Central zone to cooperate with, and support their various States Governors towards maintaining peace within their States.
According to Sule, their Forum believes not only in the unity of the country, but in the existence of their geo-political zone, hence it is ready to support any of its sons and daughters who wish to aspire for the office of the president or any other political office, in the 2023 general elections.
“We shall direct all the people of the zone to support and promote the image of our sons and daughters in national politics,” he said.
The NCPF Scribe, further disclosed that their group will give its full support to the bill sponsored by North Central legislators at the National Assembly for the establishment of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), now that both the North East and South East have their own Commission.
