Hon. A.A Ndakene disburses N5 million grant to petty traders in Patigi LGA
The disbursement of cash grants to women petty traders in Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency under HAAN-CODI Women Empowerment Scheme continued in Patigi Local Government Area on Sunday 29th December, 2019; where over five hundred (500) women benefitted from the program that is targeted at improving economic activities in the constituency.
The beneficiaries who were drawn from Patigi, Lade and Kpada Districts; all in Patigi LGA of Kwara State, were urged by relevant stakeholders to make judicious use of the grants by ploughing the funds into their various trades.

The petty traders while promising to grow their enterprise with the grant, also expressed their appreciation to Hon. Ahmed for supporting their trades with the funds.
It will be recalled that the first phase of the disbursement started in the three Districts of Tsonga, Lafiagi and Tsaragi in Edu Local Government Area where over seven hundred (700) women received similar cash grants to boost their businesses. So far, over 1200 women have benefitted from the Cash Grant of the Women Empowerment Scheme. The initiative targets improving the socio-economic activities of 5000 women in Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency over the course of four (4) years.
The disbursement of grants is expected to continue in Moro Local Government Area of the constituency by 2020.
