KEDCO Improves Service Delivery in 2019, Promises Innovative Packages in 2020
POLITICS DIGEST – The Management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has improved tremendously its service delivery to customers and stakeholders in 2019 and promised innovative packages in the new Year of 2020.
This is contained in a new year statement signed by the company’s head of Corporate Communications, Ibrahim Sani Shawai and made available to Politics Digest on Tuesday.
The statement observed that though 2019 has posed a lot of challenges, the company has been able to strengthen support and partnership with its customers and improved its revenue collection, adding that in the year 2020, KEDCO will no doubt surmount the challenges and stand even stronger.
KEDCO declared that, “In 2019, we worked assiduously to distribute power equitably with fairness and justice across our franchise areas, while investing millions of naira in network expansion, facilities and operation maintenance to create an environment conducive for our customers to enjoy power supply in efficient and effective a manner as possible”.
“This is borne out of our constant desire to ensure that the satisfaction of our consumers is always top priority and that will not be negotiated in the new year as we look towards strengthening all existing modalities to give a record level satisfaction to all our numerous customers and stakeholders.

“In 2019, we did so many things to ensure that our customers’ complaints were given the best of attention, which has led to the low level of complaints that are now being recorded. This was made possible through the expansion of various platforms for customers to lay complaints as well as give feedbacks on issues on our mode of service delivery.
The KEDCO management then assured its customers that it has planned stronger innovative strategies to ensure new dimensions in order to have improved service delivery in all their franchise areas.
Meanwhile, the KEDCO Managing Director, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna restated the company’s commitment to ensuring innovative packages to all their customers in the New Year.
Gwamna, in his new year message said, “One thing about KEDCO is that we believe in improvement and innovative approach to doing things. In 2020, we will not be the same; that I can assure all our customers. They are the reason of our existence.
“We have mapped out our plans and we intend to hit the ground running as soon as we roll out these plans in 2020. Our customers will have enough to enjoy in terms of power supply and the mode of delivery. In business, customer is the king and in 2020, we will make that statement count in every of our franchise areas.
The Kano DisCo boss, however, called on all customers to assist KEDCO in its noble cause to ensure innovative packages in service delivery by paying all their outstanding bills on time. He then wished them a prosperous new year in 2020.
