Nigeria, China Relationship Instrumental to Economic Growth – Chiroma
The Chairman of House Committee on Nigeria-China Relations, Jafaru Yakubu Chiroma, has stated the investment of China in Nigeria and other African countries instrumental for driving economic growth, creating job and improving infrastructure.
The said such example of investment Nigeria is graciously benefiting from is the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a project aimed at connecting Asia, Europe, and Africa through infrastructural development.
Mr. Chiroma mentioned this during his address at an event hosted by China Media Group (CMG) for a special release ceremony of the global solicitation results, themed “Written in the Sky: My China Story” held at the Shehu Musa Yaradua in Abuja.
“Our partnership is one of mutual respect, cooperation, and shared prosperity. China’s investment in Nigeria, and in the continent of Africa at large, has been instrumental in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and improving infrastructure. A clear example is the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which is actively benefiting Nigeria. You can see the impact for yourself.

“This initiative holds the potential to transform the global economy and bring prosperity to countless people. Nigeria’s participation in the BRI has already yielded tangible results, and I am confident that it will continue to be a source of development for our two countries,” he said.
Speaking further, he applauded China’s commitment to cultural exchange and its ability to connect both nations.
