Nigerian Universities Deserve UK Treatment – ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has said that Nigerian universities deserve handsome treatment like their counterparts in the UK.
The union made the statement on its Facebook official page on Saturday evening.

The union has been on strike since February over a couple disagreements with the federal governments like the preferred payment platform, earned allowances, university revitalisation fund, salary increment, proliferation of universities etc.
Attempts to get the lecturers to resume classes recently was also stalled by their demand for their salary arrears when they were on strike which the federal government declined.
