Nigerians are Tired of Tinubu’s Excuses – Bwala

POLITICS DIGEST – Daniel Bwala, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed skepticism about any significant change occurring in Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, regardless of the duration of his tenure.

During a recent interview, Bwala highlighted the analogy drawn between past calls for patience during President Buhari’s administration and the current expectations surrounding President Tinubu’s governance.

Bwala, who served as the spokesperson for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 elections, emphasized the elapsed time since Tinubu assumed office, citing that he’s approximately 31.8 percent into his first term.

He pointed out that within this period, the sufferings of Nigerians have escalated, indicating a lack of tangible progress.

“When people talk about being patient and waiting, you have to look at the time frame the public officer is expected to execute the work,” Bwala articulated on Channels TV.

“The President has just been voted into a term of four years. He is eight months into the term which constitutes 31.8 percent of the total time that he has.”

Drawing parallels to past instances, Bwala underscored that appealing for patience doesn’t resolve fundamental policy issues. He highlighted critiques by economists regarding the President’s budget, emphasizing the need for practical and tangible advancements rather than rhetoric.

“We want to see deliverables. Nigerians are tired of English, Mathematics, Economics, Science, and Technology. We want to see practical things,” he asserted.
